Valia Christidou is an experienced R&D leader and passionate foodie with an in depth knowledge of the food industry and a track record of delivering strategic innovation and building motivated teams, bringing positivity and creativity in everything she does.
Valia is an experienced R&D leader, a University lecturer on Innovation & New Product Development, a Fellow of the Institute of Food Science and Technology and a passionate foodie with an in depth knowledge of the food industry and a track record of delivering strategic innovation and building motivated teams, bringing positivity and creativity in everything she does.
In her 30 years in the food industry, Valia was privileged to lead large multi discipline R&D teams of talented food scientists, process and packaging engineers. She was responsible for the creation and launch of well over 300 new product ranges as well as nutritional improvement and product optimisation programmes.
Valia has been an executive board member of large household names in UK’s and Europe ‘s biscuit, snack and confectionary market. She has been one of the custodians of iconic brands such as McVitie’s, Jacob’s and Carr’s in UK, BN and Delacre in France, Verkade in the Netherlands and Jacobs Suchard Pavlides in Greece.
